Francesco’s Cafe and Gourmet Coffee, envisioned by Scott and Sheree Williams as an upscale breakfast and lunch spot, sought to create a welcoming space for people to gather over exceptional food and gourmet coffees. When approached to design packaging for their chocolates, I conducted research to ensure it stood out from generic chocolate packaging.
Drawing inspiration from the distinctive features and cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic, I named the product "Bayahibe" after a vibrant local flower. Recognizing the Dominican people's expression of identity through vibrant imagery, I incorporated this aesthetic into the branding concept.
